While they may get great health treatment in hospital, from their doctors or allied health professionals, many people feel isolated and do not want to be a burden on the healthcare system. They may feel that the healthcare team do not have the time to listen and just feel overwhelmed by the challenging road to recovery.

When supporting clients undergoing surgery or recovering from surgery, a ‘one-off’ appointment, quick fixes or extreme diets are unlikely to be beneficial

In order to prepare you for surgery and your recovery, we will need to work together over a period of time to really understand your unique situation, current concerns and goals, and to collaborate effectively on creating new ways of eating.

I will explain the science behind the nutritional recommendations and we will work together to introduce the changes into your life in a way that will fit your lifestyle, in your time, at your pace. The health coaching is a vital part, both for motivation, nurturing sustainable changes and in supporting you to find your own solutions to your challenges

The positive results you experience will set you on the road to rapid recovery with an overall healthier outlook on life which is full of vitality well beyond your recovery. 

Our relationship will be an alliance and you can steer the sessions to whatever aspects you are finding challenging at that time. It is likely you will go through various phases of emotions pre- and post-surgery. I will take the time to really listen, so that I understand the best possible path forward for you and guide you in small achievable steps towards your health goals to avoid a feeling of overwhelm.

 I understand you are busy and have work and family responsibilities so your programme will be as practical as possible. This is your opportunity, to invest in yourself and take back control of your health.

Fees start from £580 and will depend on the level of support and accountability that you feel you need to achieve your goals. If you have found me before your surgery you have two packages on offer, an 8 week programme or a 12 week programme. The modules will be split across the time of your surgery to give you pre and post support and will cover the following modules

The 8 week Essential

 The 8 week Essential programmes are ideal for individuals who want to know where best to start to recharge their health with key touch points to guide them on their journey. This is suitable for people who are self-starters, need less face-to-face time but really value the regular support to rebalance their diet and lifestyle and achieve their health goals.

The 12 week Ultimate

The 12 week Ultimate programmes are ideal for individuals who want more support along the way and would benefit most from close, personal accountability to embed the changes needed to support their goals beyond their recovery. They want to make wide ranging changes that will accelerate the achievement of their health goals.

With all the programmes you will receive;

A full health and lifestyle assessment and analysis to consider symptoms, medical history, family history, lifestyle factors, sleep and stress

In addition, as my gift to you, for investing in your health you will receive one 15-minute SOS wild card. You can use this at any time; from your hospital bed, just before going into surgery, to keep you on track or when you feel you just need someone to listen

Our first consultation will last 75 minutes in person, video call or by phone. I will request a 5-day food and lifestyle diary to complete, which you will need to send back by a specified date. If you prefer you can take pictures of your meals and snacks.

 

During the call, we will review your health history in detail. We will then work together to build your personalised Revitalise and Beyond Health Plan. These will be achievable and sustainable actions, that will focus on helping you reach your health goals. Thereafter, there will be a combination of 30-minute, 45-minute and 60-minute follow-up consultations in person, video call or by phone.
